Alpaca food - Alpaca Pacos Pellets 15 kg

The alpaca feed Eilers Alpaka pacos is a proven mineral/concentrate feed mixture for alpacas, developed in collaboration with Dr. Angelika Freitag. Here is the history of its creation

• Uniform pellets provide a consistent supply
• Increased levels of minerals, trace elements and vitamins compensate for European location disadvantages
• Valuable fatty and oleic acids stabilize health and improve the structure of the fibers
• The high concentration of active ingredients enables economical feeding and is therefore more cost-effective

Adaptation of the alpaca feed recipe

We have increased the vitamin D content in the feed. In Germany, in recent years, due to the drought and now the recent rainy seasons and the resulting deterioration in hay quality, knock knees and vitamin D deficiencies have become more common in alpacas. For this reason, we are adjusting the feed slightly, but still within a framework that is appropriate for the health of the animals, in order to compensate for the lack of quality roughage.
